Day 4 - WONDER

On the 10 November my little Doxie Trixibelle, gave birth to 3 tiny little pups. It was 4am in the morning, and I woke my kids up to watch the wonder of birth. Katie (named after a friend in Scotland), the chocolate brown female was born first followed very closely by another little girl, unfortunately she was still born. At this stage I panicked and took Mom and pup to the vet, as I knew from the scans that there was another one on the way. He was born 5 hours later, a whopping silver dapple. We watched in wonder as these 2 tiny creatures grew in leaps and bounds. Then, when they were two months old, our little baby girl, Katie, died suddenly. The vet told us she had something wrong with her heart, and she would not have lived no matter what. Our hearts were broken. But life has to carry on, and we still have our Trixibelle and Scallywags, our little boy. He is now almost 4 months old, and the apple of our eye. Trixibelle was the perfect mother, still is, She has all the patience in the world. Scallywags is a handful, but we adore him.

I have always been a daydreamer,I still am. These days my dreams are for my children, I wish them so much in their future, I encourage them to follow their dreams, as I was unable to follow my most passionate dream, that was to work with animals, to become a vet. I lived my dream through books, devouring everything I could read on animals, and today I may not be a vet, but I still love animals, and have many.
I am fortunate enough to be able to travel, and in this way I have been able to fulfill another of my dreams , to see the world.

Have you ever been CURIOUS about the existence of fairies and a fairy kingdom? When I was a child my Grandfather really believed in fairies, and created a magical world for his grandchildren. Wherever we went with him we would find evidence of fairies. Now that I am older I realize he created this world for us, and let our imaginations run wild. But that feeling of magic will always stay with me.

I have been busy!

So much for keeping up to date with my blog!! All my good intentions flew out of the window when my sister, Bonnie, asked me to be on her CT. So that is what I have been busy with, scrapping with her beautiful stuff. Please visit her blog to have a look at how creative she is HERE .
