Freebie - Secret Garden Part 1

We had a wonderful long weekend away at a place called Ngwenya Lodge, in the Kruger Park. The accommodation and facilities were superb, and we never saw the kids, there was just so much for them to do. We saw so much wild life, especially elephant, rhino and hippo, very close. We are so fortunate to live in a part of the world with this kind of beauty right on our doorstep.

The gardens at Ngwenya are gorgeous, really lush and tropical and this inspired my new freebie. (see below)

I am so excited to be on the Digital Candy Element Team, creating kits to be given away!! This is something new which will take effect from January, so watch this space and I will keep you up to date! I am also contributing to "Winter Wonderland" a mega Collab organized by the World Scrapping Tour.

WST Scavenger Hunt

Thank you so much to WST for Featuring the Designers at Snap and Scrap. We got together to organize a little Scavenger hunt. There are 3 $5.00 Gift Certificates to the Snap and Scrap Shoppe up for Grabs!

So what do you think of my new look blog?? Bonnie so kindly made me a new header, isn't it gorgeous!! But I lost all my sidebar links and blinkies loading the new template, but I will just add them all again!!

What a hectic week 2 weeks I have had! We went to Somerset West to furnish our holiday house in 4 days. It was totally chaotic and so, so tiring, I never thought we would do it, but we did, and I am so excited with how it turned out! Of course we still have renovators in doing some work, but I managed to at least get the lounge and dining room completely done. I went for neutral colours, lots of wood, and bright accessories to give that holiday feeling. We have our first people in for a weekend at the the end of November, then we will be there for December with piles of our friends. It is a beautiful part of the world, beaches and mountains, wine farms , shopping, site seeing. So if any of you ever want a holiday in South Africa, we have a beautiful 4 bedroomed ,3 bathroomed house, fully fitted and furnished ,with a big sparkling pool, and gazebo for plenty of outdoor living, and a car!! I am so excited to get this venture off the ground. I will post the web site as soon as it is ready to go!!

Here is a preview of what it looks like, don't want to give too much away as our friends have not seen it and I would like it to be a surprise! No pics of the garden or pool yet, as it is a bit of a mess with building rubble etc! Tell me what you think!!??

Thanks to Bonnie for her awesome photos , and for shopping with me, she really helped a lot, I could not have done it without her. It was so great to spend so much time with her, it wasn't all work, we did party, of course, and caught up! I have not seen her in months!

We won!!!!!!!!! Celebrating with a freebie for you!

Phew, what an awesome weekend!! I think our country is still on a high from winning the world cup!! We are still celebrating!! Here are a few silly photos!- especially put here for Kim, as I said I would- haha

A few of you have asked about how my son Wesley is doing after his op. He is absolutely fine and back at work. His nose is perfect, he can breath again

This is what he looked like straight out of surgery. I wrote a short diary entry for a challenge on that day, now I am really terrible at journaling!

And this is him now (with his girlfriend Alexia) . Still some swelling, which could last up to 3 months.

But life is not all great here. We have 2 old ladies, black lab retrievers, who are now 10 years old. One of them ,Roxy, has been diagnosed with diabetes, she has lost so much weight and went blind in a matter of weeks. I have to inject her every day with insulin and I have put them both on the diabetic diet. But sadly I see her deteriorating before my eyes, and I am facing the fact that we will probably have to put her down soon. 10 years is a long time, they are like children to us, and I really cry every time I think about having to loose her.

On a brighter note, I am being featured on the website- World Scrapping Tour on Friday! What an honour and a privilege, I am really excited about it!

And I am on a new CT, Mari Koegelenberg, the owner of Snap and Scrap. Her designs are awesome and I can't wait to get started!

We are off on a long weekend to the other side of the country, Somerset West, to at long last furnish the house we have been renovating for the last few months. Hope we can get it all done in 4 days!! And of course I will be seeing Bonnie, who I have not seen in ages!! Can't wait to have a glass or two of wine with her and a long chat,we have a lot of catching up to do! Well, I am back into the swing of things, kids are back to school after a long holiday, and I have unpacked and done all my washing, and caught up on a few things here at home. My son's nose looks fabulous, I am so jealous, he has such a perfect nose now, we are thrilled with the results. For the first time in years he can breath through his nose!
