With a week or storms and rain our renovations are going quite slowly, but I am excited about how great the paving looks!

Renovations, LO's, Grab Bag and freebies!!

We have been in our present house for over 8 years, and for 8 solid years we have been renovating. At the moment we are doing a huge job, renovating our pool and outside entertainment area, and I thought it would be fun to show you some photos as it progresses. These are the first lot I took yesterday as the pool was emptied and the area prepared for paving. The building you see with the thatch roof is called a lapa here, that we have just completed the structure but lots of finishing touches still to be done , it has a little bar, braai (barbecue) and a jacuzzi. Our house surrounds the pool, this is as you walk out of the house, to the right is out indoor entertainment area and bar, and my son's room and bathroom and the spare room, to the front is the kitchen and to the left is the living area and the rest of the bedrooms and bathrooms. That wrought iron gate is being removed and sliding shutters are being put up insteadI had the pleasure of swapping kits with Danielle Corbitt, this is her new kit Snow AngelAnd the LO I did with it- which got LOTD at Digital Candy -YAY!!I have some word art in my shop, part of a collab Grab Bag Digital Candy did for DSD that has now been revealed. I did this with my teenage daughter in mind!

Some photos and LO's- and a $1.00 sale

I just had to share some photos of my poor hubby. He has suffered from gout since his late 20's and has had numerous ops to remove it. He went in on Tuesday to have his elbows and foot done, he was in a lot of pain from the surgery but looked so funny I couldn't resist taking some photos!He is doing much better and has the bandages removed on Monday.
As you can imagine he can do very little for himself as he can't bend his arms, he can't even eat on his own ,I have to feed him!! We had an end of year function on Thursday night, and I had great fun feeding him, we got some really weird looks LOL. He even managed to dance and enjoy himself, sore foot and all. It was Grease themed party and here are a few photos of us before we left, we had some taken there, will get those in a few days.
