Weekend pics and a freebie

We had a lovely long weekend away, and the Durban July was great fun, although the fashions weren't as way out as they have been in the past. the food and drinks flowed all day, and unfortunately we lost horribly on the main race, but broke even at the end of the day. We came home exhausted. Here are a few photos:

We brought our Cane Corso pup home on Sunday, he is so cute and playful and already sleeping in my son's bed with him.Fine while he is tiny but in a few months he will be huge. He is already basically potty trained, I can't believe how quick he is to learn. he eats like a horse, so thank goodness those landmines are deposited outside LOL!
Well another hectic week ahead, we leave again on Friday for another long weekend with friends.

Long weekend, sales, and a new baby...

We are leaving tomorrow for the Durban July, one of the biggest horse racing events in this country. I have been frantically rushing around to find something for Mark and I to wear. I am not a dress person, I just feel totally uncomfortable in a dress or skirt, so went for a classic black pants suit with white shirt, and Mark will also be wearing black and white. The fashions there are fabulous and some are way over the top, but really anything goes.

We also get my new baby on Sunday, a 7 week old Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff). We have called him Jackson, after Michael Jackson as he has white "gloves"! And here are just a few pics from the weekend. These were taken just after South Africa beat the Lions in Rugby!! Hectic weekend ahead!!

It's almost midnight on Thursday, had a few hours of sleep and woke up wide awake, obviously went to bed far too early. So I thought I would do tomorrows blog post now, as I have a hectic day and weekend ahead! Tomorrow is the last day of school before the holidays so it is a quick trip to school to pick up reports, then off to the Mall with my daughter, who is meeting friends for breakfast and a movie,while I go shopping, which I haven't done in ages. On Friday night we are meeting friends for a show and dinner at Emperors Palace , a casino, so obviously will hit the casino later. My boys are in the meantime having a party at the house, so hopefully we will get back to it being in one piece.On Saturday the men have tickets to watch the rugby live, while us girls are going out for cocktails and sushi, meeting the men later for dinner. Sunday will definitely be spent in bed recovering!!
