A very sad time- and my Candy Jar Challenge freebie is up!

I very seldom write anything personal on my blog or share much of my life here, but I have come to know the digiscrapping world as a caring community so I thought I would start to share a few snippets of my life. You may have noticed I have not been around much the last week or so. My nephew Storm, who was only 18, and the only son of my hubby's brother Malcom, and my sister in law Sharon, was killed tragically in a car accident on Wednesday night. My boys are devastated as they loved Storm and we will all miss him, he was a live wire, full of fun and someone you could not ignore and there will be a gap in all of our lives. How can parents survive something like this, but you have to go on. I would like to share some pictures of the family.

This is Storm with his parents, with his mother and his sister Nikita. This is a photo of me and my familyThe men in my life

I am so sorry to read your sad news about Storm. I don't know how your BIL and SIL go about dealing with such a tragedy, except for lots of prayers and love.

I just wanted to send you and you family my prayers. I know how it is to lose a child (though I did not know my child as long as you have gotten to know Storm). Your family will get through this... might take a long time even a lifetime but you will move on but never forget. Storm will always be in your hearts and minds.... my love and prayers will be with you!

I am so sorry that you and your family have been dealt this tragic blow. I know first hand your pain of losing a loved one in an accident. My sister was killed in an auto accident almost 7 years ago. My heart goes out to you and your family. I know that there is nothing I can say that will lessen the pain, only time can help with that. Allow yourselves to grieve. Everyone is different and there is no timetable for the grief process, but allow yourself to go through each stage and give yourself the prescious gift of time. Time to cry, to get angry, to accept, to remember, and to even laugh. Keeping his memory alive will keep him close to you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Jenni,

I am SO SAD for your news. I can't fathom what that must feel like either. My good friend Gina lost her son {about the same age} 2 yrs ago, and its been a large climb uphill from that day, I tell you. Our prayers go out to the family.

Lovely giveaway, thanks for sharing both your time and talent.

I am so sorry to hear of your family's loss, I lost my 16 year old daugter very suddenly and tragicaly so I know what Storm's parents are going through it's a very long hard battle but it does get better with time but it takes alot of years and it's a very slow process. It's been 5 years for me this Jan. and it's been a very hard 5 years. The only advice I can give you is just be there for your brother and sister inlaw and listen when they need to talk and cry with them when they need to cry. It just tears my heart out to hear of another parent going through what my husband and I have been through and so many others out there who have lost children. My prayers are with your family and especially Storms parents. May God comfort Storms parents in this time of greif, and be with the rest of the family as they deal with this tragic loss.

I am so sorry to hear about the tragic loss of your nephew, Storm. I can't imagine the pain his parents must be going through, as well as you and the rest of your family. It sounds like your brother-in-law and his wife have plenty of loved ones to help however they need it. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

Jenni,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know it is not easy to deal with loosing someone so special who was so young. 12 years ago this coming Halloween my cousin (then 16) was also killed in a car accident. So I know what you and your family are going through. My heart and prayers go out to you and yours.
