The big surprise is that my friend and fellow South African designer KimB Designs and I eventually got together to do a collab, and we are so excited about how it turned out!! We did it for the winner of the Custom Designed Kit contest, Dani,who created the swatch and came up with the theme, held a few months ago, and it has taken us this long to get it done!! It is a wine themed kit called Angels Tears, named after a famous South African Wine, Angels Tears, the legend goes like this:
In the 17th century, amidst the lush vines of the Cape,South Africa, a dream to create a heavenly vintage was born.
An angel overhearing the villagers took it upon herself to make their dream come true. She crept into the cellar by night to sample the fruits of the vine.
Overjoyed by the sublime quality and their respect of nature, tears fell from her eyes onto the grapes and a fine ambrosial wine was created.
To this day, every drop of Angels Tears wine is a testimony to history and dignity and is to be shared with every traveller.
Grande Provence is home to this legacy.

Getting back to reality!

For a few blissful weeks I have been glued to my TV screen and the Idols webites , watching, as far as I am concerned the best season of American Idols ever. I was an avid Dani Gokey fan until the gorgeous Adam Lambert sang Tracks of my Tears. I was instantly enthralled and bowled over by this handsome young man's talent. OK, so I have a bit of a crush haha. Those eyes.. I was sad he didn't win, but he really doesn't need the title! My fifteen year old daughter is completely obsessed and has joined every fan site, facebook site etc she can get her hands on!
But sadly all good things come to an end, and no more Idols!!!

Ok, back to reality!!! KimB has a new Mini commercial use grab bag out, for this weekend only, so don't miss out!! Well, our team The Sharks lost by 1 point, but it was a great experience, the atmosphere was fantastic! I hardly had a voice the next day from all the screaming. Unfortunately I decided not to take my camera with in case I lost it , so no photos!But here are 2 silly ones taken a few weeks ago with 2 of my friends at a Portuguese festival, after a few Caprinias too many!(me on the right in case you didn't know!)
